Website Terms of Use

Terms governing access to and use of the CLEOSOFT corporate website.

Version 1.0 · Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. About these terms

These Website Terms of Use apply to the CLEOSOFT corporate website at cleosoft.co.za and to the public information made available through it.

The website is operated by CLEOSOFT (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa.

These terms govern use of the corporate website only. They are not the subscription terms for SHIELDS and are not a software-development, licensing, support or services agreement with CLEOSOFT.

2. Website purpose

The CLEOSOFT website provides information about the company, its software development capabilities, products and ways to contact CLEOSOFT.

Information on the website is provided for general informational and business-enquiry purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, website content does not constitute a binding quotation, offer, service commitment or contractual promise.

3. Custom software and other services

Any custom software development, consulting, implementation, maintenance, support or other professional services provided by CLEOSOFT may be subject to a separate quotation, proposal, statement of work, licence, service agreement or other written agreement.

The scope, price, delivery arrangements, intellectual-property rights, support responsibilities and other terms of a particular project will be determined by the applicable agreement for that project.

4. SHIELDS

SHIELDS is a CLEOSOFT product with separate product, subscription and privacy terms.

Information about SHIELDS on the corporate website is intended to describe the product generally and to demonstrate CLEOSOFT's software capabilities.

Use of SHIELDS is governed by the applicable SHIELDS Terms of Use and SHIELDS Privacy Notice.

5. Permitted use

You may access and use the public website for lawful informational and business purposes.

You may not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, hosting environment or related systems;
  • probe, scan or test systems for vulnerabilities without prior written permission;
  • interfere with the operation, availability or security of the website;
  • introduce malicious code, automated attacks or harmful content;
  • use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes; or
  • misrepresent CLEOSOFT, its products, services or website content.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the CLEOSOFT name, branding, website design, text, graphics, product descriptions and other original website content are owned by or licensed to CLEOSOFT and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may view and use website content for ordinary informational and evaluation purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, republish, sell or commercially exploit substantial website content without permission where permission is required by law.

Third-party names, trademarks or materials remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Accuracy and availability

CLEOSOFT aims to keep website information useful and reasonably accurate, but website content may change as products, services and business activities develop.

We do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current, error-free or continuously available.

Website availability may be affected by maintenance, hosting, network, security, technical or other circumstances.

8. External services and links

The website may contain links to or rely on services provided by third parties. CLEOSOFT does not control third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their independent content, availability, security or privacy practices.

A link to a third-party service does not necessarily imply endorsement of all information, products or services made available by that third party.

9. Enquiries and electronic communications

Visitors may contact CLEOSOFT electronically using the contact details published on the website.

Sending an enquiry does not by itself create a contract or require CLEOSOFT to accept a project, provide a product or supply services.

A commercial relationship may be established separately where the parties agree to the applicable scope and terms.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CLEOSOFT is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general informational website content, temporary website unavailability, or circumstances outside CLEOSOFT's reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right, remedy, warranty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable South African law.

11. Privacy

Personal information associated with the CLEOSOFT corporate website and general business enquiries is handled as described in the CLEOSOFT Privacy Notice.

The SHIELDS product has a separate SHIELDS Privacy Notice.

12. Changes to the website or these terms

CLEOSOFT may update the website and these Website Terms of Use from time to time as its business, website or legal requirements change.

The current version and update date will be displayed on this page.

13. Governing law

These Website Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any rights or protections that applicable law requires to apply.
